Associated Grocers of Florida has deployed a recall process management technology to enhance its food safety efforts.
The wholesaler joins other members of Retailer Owned Food Distributors & Associates (ROFDA), including Affiliated Foods of Amarillo, Associated Grocers-Baton Rouge, Olean Wholesale Grocers and Associated Grocers of the South, in successfully implementing Boise, Idaho-based Recall InfoLink’s solutions.
“Recall InfoLink is easy to use and provides seamless distribution to all of our members and customers through multiple communication channels,” said Gregg Young, SVP of sales and procurement at Associated Grocers of Florida. “We view the system as central to our overall food and product safety efforts, which are focused on keeping both our Retailers and their customers safe and informed.”
Recall InfoLink offers a patented, web-based product recall management platform that protects brand image, reduces liability and brings value to all businesses involved in processing recalls. It’s designed to improve efficiency by providing standardized messages, automated communications, inventory tracking and reports for compliance efforts.
“Associated Grocers of Florida will see dramatic process improvement and have better peace of mind in this critical part of the business as a result of implementing our solution,” said Roger Hancock, president and founder of Recall InfoLink. “What’s more important is that their retail members and other customers will have access to a better recall technology than many of their chain competitors.”
