Progressive Grocer is pleased to announce the launch of the Progressive Grocer Retail Dietitian Newsletter.
This monthly round-up of news, trends, research and tips offers a one-stop shop for information and resources tailored to retail dietitians—key consumer influencers in the food, nutrition and health arenas. The newsletter’s goal is to facilitate the dietitian’s role by curating and delivering retail-relevant topics to their inboxes each month.
This premiere issue highlights news about Progressive Grocer 's Third Annual Retail Dietitian Symposium in Chicago, June 8-9. The event will feature exclusive research and presentations addressing the business of nutrition, customer engagement and key strategies for maximizing and tracking return on investment. Registered dietitian nutritionists (RDNs) will earn continuing professional education credits for attending.
Also featured this month are several stories predicting the hottest food, nutrition and fitness trends to help retail dietitians plan 2015 promotions and programs. For instance, despite reports to the contrary, consumers’ love affair with kale is not over (It’s Superfoods Season); low-carb diets are still on the rise (Healthy Eating Trends for 2015); and consumers are keenly interested in functional food ingredients such as protein, omega 3s, vitamin D, magnesium and microalgae (Five Key Functional Food Ingredients for 2015).
The newsletter also includes a Tip of the Month to spark ideas for consumer outreach and a Nutrition Research Spotlight section to help retail dietitians field questions about widely reported studies.
