Category Management is more than the sum of products that populate a section of the grocery store. The confluence of trends, demographic shifts, the economy and ever new data sets and their impact on the market are uniquely illustrated in the confection category, which continually shifts to best address consumer need states and tastes. Inspired by Progressive Grocer’s 2015 Category Management Handbook feature on the confection category, the Category Management Association presents a compelling webinar: "Hitting the Sweet Spots: Trends and Strategies Lifting the Confection Category." Trends and data that comprise NCA’s E5 Principles: Experience, Emotion, Effectiveness, Efficiency and Environment will be highlighted, along with on-the-ground strategies derived from shopper insights that have proved to be category winners.
