    Acosta Names Former Heinz CEO to Board

    Moran brings 30 years of CPG industry experience

    Acosta Sales & Marketing, a full-service agency in the consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry, has named David Moran to its Board of Directors.

    A CPG industry veteran with more than 30 years of experience, Moran is the former president and CEO of Heinz North America, a division of H.J. Heinz Company. In this role, Moran led the division’s core business functions of marketing, sales, finance, research and development, human resources, operations and supply chain. Moran began his career in sales with Procter & Gamble and soon after joined The Clorox Company, where his 14-year tenure included an appointment as national sales manager.

    “David is a well-respected leader in our industry, and it is our absolute privilege to welcome him to our Board of Directors,” said Acosta executive chairman Gary Chartrand. “His extensive expertise will complement our board’s diverse knowledge base and help us navigate today’s ever-changing marketplace.”

    Moran is a graduate of the University of Louisville, the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School of Business Executive Education Program and the Harvard Business School Advanced Management Program.

    Jacksonville, Fla.-based Acosta provides outsourced sales, marketing and retail merchandising to more than 60 percent of the top brands in the CPG industry.
