    AG New England Names Director of Meat, Seafood, Bakery and Deli

    David Ferrelli has worked for a range of grocers

    David Ferrelli has joined Associated Grocers of New England as director of meat, seafood, bakery, and deli. “David has had years of executive management experience at every level from departmental to international,” says Rick Wheeler, VP wholesale merchandising and procurement at the Pembroke, N.H.-based cooperative, which is owned entirely by independent retail grocers. “His strong background in meat, seafood and bakery/deli will be a real boost for AG New England.”

    Ferrelli was previously a captain in the U.S. Army and a consultant in meat operations and merchandising. He has also held senior meat, seafood and bakery/deli management positions at the Penn Traffic Co. in Syracuse, N.Y.; Minyard Food Stores in Coppell, Texas; the Great Atlantic & Pacific Tea Co. (A&P) in Montvale, N.J.; and Pueblo International in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

    The largest retailer-owned wholesale grocery distribution center in New England, AG New England serves independent retail food stores in Maine, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Vermont and the upstate New York/Albany area.
