Albertsons to Launch Integrated Online Solutions

Albertsons Market has tapped Winooski, Vt.-based MyWebGrocer to power its online services for its stores across the southern United States.

The Boise, Idaho-based grocer has launched an integrated online solution for all of its stores that will personalize the shopping experience for customers, with access to planning tools, digital circulars, online advertising, social media, coupons and mobile apps.

“With so many solutions available to consumers today, Albertsons Market’s top digital priority was to create an integrated experience for our customers and to bridge the gap between the digital world and their local store,” said Karl Meinhardt, VP of social and digital marketing. “It made sense for us to work with MyWebGrocer as they have the broadest digital platform in the industry.”

Albertsons Market customers can access digital circulars for weekly specials specific to their local store. These circulars are available on multiple platforms, whether the shopper is surfing the Web, using a mobile app or viewing the store’s Facebook page. Planning tools -- which include online recipe builders, coupons and shopping lists -- have been integrated throughout these platforms as well.

Albertsons Market is now part of a network of 130 other grocery retailers nationwide that use MyWebGrocer services.

Albertsons Market, owned by Albertson’s LLC, operates around 200 stores under the Albertsons and Super Saver Foods banners in Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Florida, Louisiana, New Mexico, Texas and Utah.
