    Albertsons Launches Pinterest Recipe Contest

Customers are invited to create personal “Colorful Harvest” Pinterest boards

Albertsons Market has launched a social media contest in which customers create “Colorful Harvest” recipe Pinterest boards for a chance to win the grand prize of a $2,000 gift card from the grocer.

“Hosting a contest that encourages customers to create an amazing holiday Pinterest recipe box and reward them for great recipe collections will be a fun way to celebrate what we love about the holidays: Food!” said Elizabeth Perryman, digital content manager. “Our first Pinterest contest which celebrated the Timeless Women in all of our lives was enthusiastically received by our customers, and we already know from our own Pinterest boards that our customers love sharing recipes.”

To participate in the contest - which ends midnight on Dec. 7 and was sponsored by McCormick Spices and Fisher Nuts - customers create a Pinterest board called “Colorful Harvest” at Pinterest.com. They then pin three recipes from each of the following sites: AlbertsonsMarket.com/Recipes, McCormick.com, and FisherNuts.com for a total of nine recipes. On their pins, participants then describe what they like most about each recipe and add the hash tags #colorful #harvest #recipe in the description so Albertsons can find the pins. They then submit the entry via Albertsons Market’s website.

The grand-prize winner will take home a $2,000 Albertsons Market gift card; the second prize winner will receive $1,000 gift card; and the third prize winner will receive a $500 gift card. Winners will be announced on Dec. 18.

Boise, Idaho-based Albertsons LLC is privately owned and operates under the Albertsons banner in Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Florida, Louisiana, New Mexico, and Texas.
