Albertson's, LLC Extends Transitional Services Agreement With Supervalu

The retailer has the option to extend through Dec. 31, 2014

Albertson's, LLC Friday inked an agreement with Supervalu, which allows Albertsons the option to extend the companies' transitional services agreement (TSA) through Dec. 31, 2014. The TSA was originally signed in June 2006 when the respective companies purchased portions of Albertson's, Inc.

The purpose of the TSA is to allow Supervalu to provide Albertsons, LLC with the necessary back-office infrastructure to run the business efficiently.

"The transition services agreement between Albertson's, LLC and Supervalu provides our company with solid infrastructure for the next six years as we continue to grow our company," said Bob Miller, CEO of Albertson's, LLC. "Supervalu has been and will continue to be a strong partner for us as Albertsons continues to improve our operations as we build a solid store base."

Albertson's, LLC is privately owned and operates nearly 250 stores under the Albertsons banner in Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Florida, Louisiana, New Mexico, and Texas.
