All Meijers to Stay Open Until 7 PM Christmas Eve
Meijer said it will keep all 185 of its supercenters open until 7:00 p.m. Christmas Eve, to offer last-minute shoppers the opportunity to purchase gifts and take advantage of Meijer special promotions.
"We are amping up our promotions and sales for the final few days before the holiday," said Frank Guglielmi, spokesman for the Grand Rapids, Mich.-based supercenter chain. "Meijer customers know they can always find great deals at our stores, but we anticipate a brisk couple days as shoppers grab last-minute bargains and take advantage of even more promotions."
In addition to a variety of sales throughout the stores, Meijer has brought back its popular "Santa Bucks" promotion, which provides customers discount coupons of varying amounts that they can apply to the most popular holiday gifts. "Santa Bucks" will be available at Meijer until the stores close Christmas Eve.
The chain's stores will close for the Christmas holiday at 7:00 p.m. (local time) on Christmas Eve, and re-open at 6:00 a.m. on December 26.
