    Allegiance Opens Five N.Y. Foodtowns

    Stores were converted from A&J Met Foods 

    Five new Foodtown supermarkets have opened in the New York towns of New Rochelle, Bellerose, the Bronx, Rego Park, and Merrick.

    The stores were formally A&J Met Foods, owned and operated by Angelo Avena and Joseph Paravati, who have joined Allegiance. “With the conversion of these five New York stores, we continue to show the growth of Allegiance,” said Michael Stolarz, president and COO of Allegiance Retail Services, LLC. We are very excited to have Angelo and Joe join our team.”

    “We are looking forward to our April grand opening celebration and are pleased that we can provide a more competitive and robust store for our customers,” said Angelo Avena and Joseph Paravati.

    Iselin, N.J.-based Allegiance Retail Services supports independents for retail success by providing members with marketing, advertising, technological and operational support, as well as a full line of Foodtown private label products.
