Annual King Kullen Golf Event Raises Over $100,000 for Children's Charity

BETHPAGE, N.Y. -- King Kullen Grocery Co. has presented a check for $100,000 to Little Flower Children and Family Services of New York, an organization that finds adoptive and foster homes for children on Long Island and in New York City. The grocer raised the money through its annual James A. Cullen Memorial Golf Outing.

"The annual golf outing was inaugurated to carry on their support of Little Flower's mission of uniting children with families," said King Kullen v.p. Thomas K. Kullen at the presentation.

Since the first golf outing was held in 1983, the company has raised millions of dollars for Little Flower. Additionally, the Cullen family has played a pivotal role in the construction of the eight cottages that provide a residential setting for over 100 children and teenagers at Little Flower's main campus in Wading River, N.Y.

King Kullen employs over 4,800 people and operates 46 stores on Long Island and Staten Island in New York.
