The Great Atlantic & Pacific Tea Co. Inc. has introduced the Live Better Baby Club, a new program designed to help customers save on baby-related purchases. Club members get an automatic 10 percent discount on baby products every time they shop at A&P, Pathmark, Superfresh, Waldbaum’s and The Food Emporium stores.
To join up, customers can enroll online at www.livebetterbaby.net, enroll in-store or add the program to their existing A&P banner membership account via the Web. Members who are also enrolled in A&P’s Live Better Wellness Club are eligible to free generic prenatal vitamins, fluoride baby vitamins, and antibiotics in stores with pharmacies.
“We wanted to make it as easy as possible for new parents and parents-to-be to instantly save when they shop with us,” explained Tom O’Boyle, EVP of merchandising, marketing, supply and logistics at the Montvale, N.J.-based grocer. “Giving customers an automatic 10 percent discount on baby products makes A&P’s Live Better Baby Club program truly simple and hassle-free.”
Parents can additionally find tips and member-only specials on the club’s website. Employing the know-how of A&P’s vendor partners, the site provides plenty of information and resources on rotating topics, along with exclusive deals and further discounts for members. Other features include a regular mommy and baby nutrition blog and the ability for visitors to seek expert opinions and interactively engage with the site.
“A&P’s new Live Better Baby Club is more than a convenient instant discount program,” noted A&P SVP of marketing John Moritz. “It is a community resource where our customers can learn about the products they buy and share their experiences as new parents.”
The grocer has also expanded its Coupon Source digital program to include exclusive Live Better Baby Club offers. Members can download the offers directly to their savings cards for additional savings in the store.
A&P operates 336 stores in seven states under the following banners: A&P, Waldbaum’s, Pathmark, Best Cellars, The Food Emporium, Super Foodmart, Superfresh and Food Basics.
