A&P to Bow Revamped Fresh, Best CellarsUnits Friday
The Great Atlantic & Pacific Tea Co. will open a remodeled A&P Fresh store and the Best Cellars at A&P store in Riverside, Conn. Friday, November 14 with a three-day in-store celebration and a special appearance by best-selling author, Carol McManus, who will visit both stores to sign copies of her latest book, Table Talk: Food, Family, Love - A Cookbook. She will also treat guests to a cooking demonstration at the Best Cellars at A&P store.
A&P's Fresh concept features a center grocery department surrounded by approximately 17 specialty food shops featuring upscale and gourmet selections in each, the chain said.
Best Cellars, purchased by A&P last year, offers more than 150 wine selections merchandised according to taste and style using easily understandable words, icons, and colors.
A&P operates 447 stores in eight states and the District of Columbia under the A&P, Waldbaum's, Pathmark, Best Cellars, The Food Emporium, Super Foodmart, Super Fresh, and Food Basics banners.
