A&P Catering Art Show to Benefit Muscular Dystrophy Association

MONTVALE, N.Y. -- The catering and music at an Oct. 18 art show featuring the works of 3-D artist Charles Fazzino will be supplied by A&P Fresh Markets. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of his artwork, as well as from the month of October at Rye Brook, N.Y.-based Washington Square Art Gallery, will go to the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA).

Gifts will also be offered to those who purchase artwork as a way of thanking them for supporting the association.

Fazzino will in be attendance to meet collectors and offer one-of-a-kind signature drawings. Additionally, there will be an unveiling of the artist’s original artwork from a visit to the MDA Summer camp, where he was invited to work with campers on two original paintings. Those artworks will be auctioned off at a later date with all of the proceeds to be donated to MDA.

The MDA is a nongovernmental, non-United Way agency working to find treatments and cures for over 43 neuromuscular diseases.

A&P operates 337 stores in eight states and the District of Columbia under the A&P, Waldbaum’s, The Food Emporium, Super Foodmart, Super Fresh, Sav-A-Center and Food Basics banners.
