Arthur Marsh has joined the national business development team at Bacompt, a leader in shelf-edge marketing programs for supermarkets, drug stores and retail chains.
Marsh formerly served in a variety of executive management roles for Indianapolis-based Marsh Supermarkets and most recently headed Arthur Marsh Consulting, which advised and assisted small- to medium-sized companies in retail operation and merchandising.
Marsh’s leadership roles at Marsh Supermarkets included CEO of the grocer’s Village Pantry Division, executive VP of mergers and acquisitions, senior VP of merchandising and director of grocery merchandising. Among his accomplishments was the creation and launching of a new division of stores called Arthur’s Fresh Market, a 22,000-square-foot format focused on perishables through a large produce department; full-service meat, deli and bakery departments; and a foodservice operation.
Marsh’s mission at Bacompt is to apply his knowledge of the supermarket and retail chain industry to help companies gain maximum results from their shelf-edge marketing programs. “We’re delighted to add a professional of Arthur Marsh’s caliber to the Bacompt business development team,” said Dwayne Hurt, Bacompt executive VP and COO. “Arthur brings a level of industry marketing experience, knowledge, and success that will be an asset to both Bacompt and our customers.”
