In an effort to help customers discover the flavors and health advantages of seafood, the Alaska seafood Marketing Institute (ASMI) has unveiled its “Delicious & Healthy” campaign. Reflecting USDA 2010 health recommendations, the campaign encourages customers to consume at least two servings of wild Alaska seafood per week to get the benefits of omega-3 fatty acids, vitamin D, essential minerals and lean protein.
ASMI’s campaign offers a series of Delicious & Healthy POS materials, “Alaska Seafood 2x Week” sign toppers for the display case, an in-store poster, as well as a recipe leaflet designed to inspire home cooks to incorporate Alaska seafood into their culinary repertoires. Recipes such as Moroccan-Style Alaska Cod with Mango-Carrot Slaw and Alaska Sole Capri skip the fat and focus on spices and vegetables to build low-calorie flavors.
ASMI offers an array of additional materials to assist retailers in promoting wild Alaska seafood, such as species-specific posters, sustainability materials, as well as the COOK IT FROZEN! techniques that allow seafood to go from freezer to table in as little as 15 minutes. ASMI can also assist in the creation of unique POS for individual retailers by providing high-resolution photography, assistance with copywriting, recipe development and more.
