Aures Technologies launched the Poséo 5200, its new generation of POSLIGNE Retail PCs designed to be used both for front-office operations such as cash desk management, and back office work, including server functions.
The new PCs feature embedded proprietary software that incorporates automated, centralized dispatch of data by e-mail. According to global provider Aures, by consulting e-mails from each point of sale or department sent from one or more Poséo 5200 units, users can keep abreast of key data relating to standard operation of all deployed systems, such as temperature levels, fan speeds, voltage levels and hard disk/network interface status.
Each sales or service area equipped with Poséo 5200 hardware also has direct information about the operating status of its system or systems by means of a control screen located on the front face of the PC, enabling the same key operational data to be read off locally in the stores.
The Poséo 5200 uses Celeron D, INTEL P4 or Core D Duo processors, and has up to 4GB of RAM, with the ability to upgrade to accommodate future needs. The unit’s configuration provides 21 communication ports, offering a variety of connection options for peripherals.
The modular POSLIGNE system includes the Poséo 5200 Retail PC, the OLC15 touch screen and the ODP 200 thermal receipt printer.
