Kroger's Digital Innovation Begins In-store: PG's Connected Consumer Summit

Kroger has enjoyed an unprecedented 44 quarters of consecutive growth, attributed in large part to the company’s Customer 1st strategy. In the digital world, Kroger continues to focus on the customer experience, but often that means innovating internally at a high level. As senior director of research and development at Kroger, Brett Bonner is responsible for the invention and development of high-value systems for the nation’s largest traditional grocery company. Bonner will discuss the Internet of Things at Progressive Grocer’s Connected Consumer Summit in May, focusing on the importance of connecting internally – think everything from no wait times at checkout, scales communicating with mobile apps, and connecting the wireless language of multiple devices to create an optimal shopper experience.

Bonner wil share Kroger’s Customer 1st Innovation with attendees of Progressive Grocer’s exclusive, invitation-only 2015 Connected Consumer Summit, taking place May 5-6 at the Renaissance Chicago O’Hare Suites Hotel, Rosemont, Ill. Retailers and suppliers will benefit from the event's unique solutions-focused agenda for successfully engaging with consumers digitally.

At the Connected Consumer Summit, CPG retailers and their supplier partners will engage with solution providers to explore ideas to improve profitability through strategic execution of digital assets to increase shopping occasions and increase average basket value.

Key features of this unique one-and-a-half-day event include retailer/industry expert keynote presentations; “Boardroom Briefings” for retailers and CPG companies presented by solution providers focused on the connected consumer; one-to-one meetings; as well as exceptional networking opportunities.
