Foremost among the many attractions of gluten-free granola and snack bar manufacturer Bakery On Main’s new, improved website, at www.bakeryonmain.com, is a section especially for retailers. The Retailer Resources features downloadable high-resolution pictures of each Bakery on Main product for use in store flyers and ads. Retailers can also access trade articles about the East Hartford, Conn.-based company.
A unique aspect of the new site design is that it consists entirely of hand-drawn illustrations, which are intended to give visitors the feeling that they’re actually walking into Bakery On Main. The site is essentially a blown-up version of the little bakery depicted in the company’s logo, according to the manufacturer.
News stories are now front and center on the homepage, including major events, stories, new product releases, and “the Blog Race,” a game that determines which Bakery On Main product is generating the most buzz going on the blogs.
Additional changes include a detailed FAQ page, an updated store locator, a more user-friendly and more secure online store, and an all-new section known as “Community,” which features product reviews, gluten free resources, newsletters and events. The store locator will be continually updated as new stores and receives information.
The revamped site also makes it a snap for users to join the Bakery On Main’s e-mail club, with the addition of a “join the club” mailbox icon, a top-level link, and a page within the Community section on every page on the website.
Club members get such perks as $1.50 off their next purchase, special offers and coupons every month, recipes, new product announcements, and the latest news and events.
