BALTIMORE -- Balducci's here will launch its first promotion touting a wide variety of food items from Greece, beginning Saturday, Sept. 29, featuring food tastings, cooking demonstrations from guest chefs, a specially designed brochure describing the many spotlighted products, and a drawing to win a trip for two to Greece.
The in-store event will run every Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., through Oct. 21.
Items at the festival will include Fage Total Yogurt; Terra Medi vinegars; Mt. Vikos cheeses, spreads, and dips; Mylelia savories, jams, preserves, flavored vinegars, and honey desserts, which will exclusively offer savory and sweet products at the festival, including such unusual combinations as quince and almonds preserves and figs with ginger and chocolate in honey; Eleona and Biolea olive oils, and The Greek Table line of U.S.-made fresh prepared, ready-to-eat-Greek meals, which will debut at Balducci stores in Maryland, Washington DC and Virginia.
Additionally Balducci's will offer a menu of its own authentic Greek prepared foods, among them Greek Salad, Traditional Moussaka, and Spinach and Feta Pie.
