BETHESDA, Md. -- Balducci's here went live yesterday with what it referred to as a "new and improved" Web site.
Besides a brand-new look, the site, www.balduccis.com, now features food departments in a new way, regularly offering new content to spotlight various products and departments within the stores, and allowing the grocer and its vendors to discuss new trends, the gourmet retailer said.
Additional changes include a revamped gift baskets section, now enabling individuals or businesses to order multiple baskets and have them shipped to different addresses; online coupons and recipes, a feature requested by customers in an online survey leading up to the new launch; and weekly specials to be updated weekly by region.
According to the upscale grocer, further changes are in store, as a few of the site's sections are still being built out.
Balducci's operates 10 stores in Connecticut, the District of Columbia, Maryland, New York, and Virginia.
