    Banquet ‘Thanks’ Loyal Customers With Cash

    ConAgra Foods’ largest brand, Banquet, has introduced the “Thanks a Million” promotion to offer its loyal customers some financial relief during a difficult economy.


    ConAgra Foods’ largest brand, Banquet, has introduced the “Thanks a Million” promotion to offer its loyal customers some financial relief during a difficult economy. Through April 2010, over 16,000 promotional Banquet frozen single-serve dinners will offer redeemable cash prizes ranging in value from $10 to $100,000.

    “We know that times are tough for a lot of Americans right now, especially when it comes to providing their families with good, quality food without breaking the bank,” said Tom McGough, VP and general manager of Banquet at Omaha, Neb.-based ConAgra. “Banquet wants to reward our loyal customers and say ‘thanks’ by giving them a little extra spending money.”

    Consumers will be able to find the 17 single-serve dinner meals offering prizes at any retailer where Banquet frozen meals are sold. The meals are identifiable by “Thanks a Million” artwork on the front of the package. Each item provides instructions on how to redeem any cash prize, which will be sent in check form. Non-winning packages feature coupons, so all shoppers receive some form of “thanks” for taking part in the promotion.

    Banquet also offers multi-serve dinners, pot pies, and prepared poultry products such as fried chicken, chicken nuggets and wings. Among ConAgra’s other well-known brands are Chef Boyardee, Egg Beaters, Healthy Choice, Hebrew National, Hunt’s, Marie Callender’s, Orville Redenbacher’s, PAM, Peter Pan and Reddi-wip.
