    Bashas’ to Deploy Retail Price Optimization

    The grocer will leverage its pricing strategy to create a better shopping experience

    Regional independent Bashas’ Family of Stores, plans to model, measure and implement pricing strategies for its Bashas’ and Food City banners in Arizona.

    Is working with KSS Retail for its price optimization strategy. “Our goal is to provide our customers with a superior shopping experience,” said Robert Ortiz, Bashas’ VP of sales and marketing. “Working with KSS Retail will give us the ability to better understand our customers and what’s most important to them.”

    KSS Retail, a dunnhumby Company, provides price optimization and shopper insight solutions for the grocery, convenience, chain drug, general, and online retail industries to deliver more effective pricing, promotions, and merchandising decisions.

    Chandler, Ariz.-based Bashas’ operates more trhan 120 stores under the banners of Food City, AJ’s Fine Foods, Sportsman’s Fine Wines & Spirits, Eddie’s Country Store, and both Bashas’ and Bashas’ Diné supermarkets.
