MAULDIN, S.C. -- Southeastern chain Bi-Lo Supermarkets here has promoted Anthea Jones to group v.p., center store, which is a new position in the company. Jones, an eight-year veteran of Bi-Lo, was previously v.p. of non-foods and pharmacy.
In his new role, Jones will be responsible for grocery, health and beauty care, and general merchandise. He will also have responsibility for category management support, pricing, and center store procurement.
Jones has an extensive background in grocery merchandising and operations, according to the company. He is a graduate of North Carolina State University and has a B.S. in Economics and an MBA.
He will now report directly to e.v.p. Tye Anthony.
Bi-Lo operates 223 supermarkets in the Carolinas, Georgia, and Tennessee.
