BJ’s Wholesale Club Inc. has joined forces with On The Spot Systems Inc. to develop a unique survey platform for the retailer’s members at all of its locations. The survey platform will permit BJ’s members to provide real-time feedback quickly and easily about many of the company’s private label products, using Survey On The Spot, the vendor’s proprietary mobile data collection technology.
Members can take brief surveys about BJ’s Berkley & Jensen, Earth’s Pride and Wellesley Farms offerings by scanning a QR code on the products’ packaging. The code will take members at once to a Custom Branded survey in which they can provide specific feedback about the product. As an incentive, members can also opt to be entered in a sweepstakes drawing for a $200 BJ’s Wholesale Club gift card.
The partnership enables Westborough, Mass.-based BJ’s, which operates 195 clubs and 107 gas stations in 15 eastern states, to employ Survey On The Spot’s unique features, including real-time customer feedback for service-focused industries, e-mail list building, instant management alerts and automated user-friendly reporting. The vendor’s cost-effective platform lets users capture customer and employee feedback via smartphones or tablet technology. Fully customizable surveys allow individualized branding without the need for a proprietary application, and deliver immediate insights into customer satisfaction, market research and field data collection.
“Survey On The Spot’s real-time, actionable feedback model will allow BJ’s to know what its customers are thinking at that most critical moment, while they are actively consuming the products -- allowing the company to make immediate decisions to build stronger relationships with its members,” said Ken Kimmel, president of Newton, Mass.-based On The Spot Systems, which is gaining momentum in a range of service industries, among them foodservice, packaged goods, health care, hospitality, transportation and retail.
