BJ’s to Save Costs on Print Management, Procurement

The retailer is working with LogicSource, Inc. on strategic sourcing programs

BJ’s Wholesale Club, Inc., an operator of membership warehouse clubs in the Eastern United States, has reached a multi-year agreement with LogicSource, Inc. to provide enhanced print procurement and management services that it expects to deliver significant cost savings.

"The co-sourcing model offered by LogicSource is a great fit for us,” said Julie Reed, VP, strategic sourcing and procurement and chief procurement officer for BJ’s. “Our onsite team will have the enhanced technology, processes, and resources they need to drive to the next levels of cost savings, innovation, and efficiency for BJ's."

Norwalk, Conn.-based LogicSource is a sourcing solutions firm that focuses on driving measurable and sustainable cost savings and uses a risk/reward approach in which it shares the benefits of the savings it creates with client partners. It conducted a detailed analysis of BJ’s procurement of print materials, and is leveraging its procurement processes to lower costs and drive operational efficiencies. The arrangement calls for LogicSource to provide onsite co-sourcing for all of BJ’s print procurement needs by collaborating with the wholesaler to identify new potential supply chain partners and procurement efficiencies.

BJ's operates 196 clubs and 107 gas stations in 15 eastern states.
