    Brooklyn Harvest Market Debuts

Trendy location offers large assortment of natural/organic items

Allegiance Retail Services LLC’s Brooklyn Harvest Market has opened in the trendy Williamsburg section of Brooklyn, N.Y. The grand opening of the 15,000-square-foot store took place on April 5.

Owned and operated by Nasri Abed, who has three other stores with the retail cooperative, the primarily conventional supermarket offers a large selection of prepared foods; extended produce, deli and meat departments; and a wide variety of natural and organic items.

“By partnering with Allegiance, I have continued to grow my existing Foodtown stores’ sales base, plus expand into a new banner that meets the needs of the Williamsburg community,” noted Abed. “Brooklyn Harvest is perfect for the Williamsburg shopper who desires natural and organic products.”

Iselin, N.J.-based Allegiance provides its independent grocer members with marketing, advertising, technological and operational support, in addition to a full line of Foodtown private label products.
