Brookshire Grocery Co. Launches iPhone App
Regional independent Brookshire Grocery Co. (BGC) has launched a free iPhone App that delivers weekly specials in real time to help customers create a grocery list and shop sale items.
“Customers can easily browse hundreds of products instantly with a list neatly organized into categories with pictures, descriptions, and prices,” said BGC CMO Rick Ellis. “This app synchronizes and downloads specials directly to iPhone, iPod Touch, or iPad.”
Features include real time pricing, the ability for users to customize settings to view all specials in a particular “home” store, make a list organized by aisle or category for greater shopping ease, and the add items using a text option.
To use the application, the iPhone OS 3.0 update, or later version, is needed.
Tyler, Texas-based BGC operates more than 150 supermarkets in Texas, Louisiana, and Arkansas under the banners of Brookshire’s Food & Pharmacy, Super 1 Foods & Discount Pharmacy, Olé Foods, and ALPS (Always Low Price Store).
