The dairy cooperative will host “Picnics on Park,” an area offering an opportunity for families and friends to gather outdoors and have a picnic including Cabot’s award-winning cheddars.
The company will also offer Summer Streets guests the chance to “Cab It with Cabot” via free pedi-cab rides around the Picnics on Park location (Park Avenue between 51st and 52nd Streets).
Presented by the New York City Department of Transportation, Summer Streets is an organized closing of Park Avenue from the Brooklyn Bridge to Central Park to motorized vehicles, as a way to offer various activities enabling New Yorkers to play, walk, bike and exercise. The event is part of the city’s promotion of more sustainable forms of transportation.
