    Caputo's Deploys Fresh-Food Ordering Kiosks

The grocer expects the units to boost customer service in its busiest department.

Angelo Caputo's Fresh Market has installed new fresh-food self-service kiosks in an effort to enhance customer service and boost efficiencies.

The kiosk, developed by Lombard, Ill.-based ADUSA, will enable customers to self-order the full range of items available in the grocer’s fresh foods department, including meats, cheeses, a variety of prepared salads, entrees and side dishes.

"We think our customers are really going to appreciate the added convenience these kiosks bring," said Robertino Presta, CEO of Naperville, Ill.-based Caputo's. "ADUSA's kiosks make it so easy for them to place their orders and get the products they came in for without waiting in line. Equally important to us is that kiosk orders take less time to prepare, so we'll benefit on the labor side as well."
