Yogurts featuring fruits as well as vegetables and targeting toddlers are a hot new trend, to judge from Horizon Dairy’s recently introduced Little Blends line, which is now joined by YoBaby 3 in 1 Meals from Londonderry, Vt.-based manufacturer Stonyfield Farm. Launched to coincide with the brand’s 10th anniversary, organic YoBaby 3 in 1 Meals (the three components being yogurt, fruit and vegetables) come in Pear & Green Bean, Peach & Squash, and Apple & Sweet Potato varieties featuring the fruit-and-veggie puree on the bottom, and provide over 35 percent of a toddler’s daily protein and calcium needs in one serving. A 6-ounce cup -- containing 50 percent more yogurt than the 4-ounce YoBaby cups currently available in multipacks -- retails for a suggested $1.29. Visit www.yobabyyogurt.com for more information.
