    C.H. Robinson Foundation Bolsters Produce Industry’s Search for Top Talent

    The C.H. Robinson (CHR) Worldwide Foundation, the nonprofit foundation arm of produce and logistics industry leader C.H. Robinson Worldwide, has stepped up to support the Produce Marketing Association Foundation for Industry Talent (PMA FIT), a nonprofit organization dedicated to developing future talent for the produce industry.

    The C.H. Robinson (CHR) Worldwide Foundation, the nonprofit foundation arm of produce and logistics industry leader C.H. Robinson Worldwide, has stepped up to support the Produce Marketing Association Foundation for Industry Talent (PMA FIT), a nonprofit organization dedicated to developing future talent for the produce industry.

    CHR Worldwide Foundation’s donation to PMA FIT will go toward programs designed to broaden awareness regarding the rewards and opportunities of careers in produce, including internships, job shadowing, career ambassadors, a job bank, a career resource center, leadership development, an HR resource center, and event and leadership scholarships.

    Angie Freeman, president of the Minneapolis-based CHR Worldwide Foundation, said, “Motivated and knowledgeable employees are essential to the future success and long-term sustainability of the produce industry.”

    Established in 2005, CHR Worldwide’s foundation contributes millions of dollars annually to a variety of organizations, including the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, community health charities, the American Cancer Society, Children’s Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota, Produce for Better Health, Sustainable Harvest International, and the United Way.
