    Chiquita Offers Twitter Followers Summer Smoothie Fun

    The Chiquita Frozen Fruit Smoothies brand is inviting consumers to enter its Summer Fruit Fun Smoothie contest on Twitter for the chance to win a backyard patio makeover.

    The Chiquita Frozen Fruit Smoothies brand is inviting consumers to enter its Summer Fruit Fun Smoothie contest on Twitter for the chance to win a backyard patio makeover. Followers of @FruitFun can enter by submitting a photo of themselves, their family or friends kicking back outside in the summer sun with their preferred smoothie at hand.

    Contestants can enter as many times as they want, with each photo counting as a single entry. The brand is encouraging duplicate entries, since the winners will be selected at random. As Cincinnati-based Chiquita Brands International notes, the more times consumers enter, the better chance they have of winning.

    The grand-prize winner will receive a $1,000 gift card to make over his or her patio, in addition to a year’s supply of smoothies. Weekly winners will get Chiquita Smoothies T-shirts and coupons redeemable for free smoothies.

    All-natural Chiquita Frozen Fruit Smoothies contain at least a half-cup of fruit and 100 percent of the recommended daily value of vitamin C. The product line’s four varieties — Strawberry Banana, Banana Colada, Peach Mango and Mixed Berry — retail for a suggested $2.69 each.
