Regional independent C&K Market, Inc. plans to deploy a suite of Web-based enterprise applications to provide management with on-demand access to company information, regardless of where they are.
The retailer, based in Brookings, Ore., said it selected the Connected Services suite of Web-based applications from Plano, Texas-based StoreNext Retail Technologies, which already provides C&K's point-of-sale and other retail systems.
"Due to our large geographic spread, our operations team is typically on the move in the field, so we needed a convenient sales reporting tool for them," said Alan Nidiffer, v.p. and c.i.o. of C&K Market. "This will dramatically help us identify and quickly capitalize on market trends."
Connected Services is a suite of enterprise-class software applications delivered via the Internet as a subscription and available in modular format, offering the flexibility to select the optimal mix of modules to start, then expand as desired. It supports ISS45 and ScanMaster POS systems.
C&K owns and operates 49 Ray's Food Place stores in northern California and Oregon. The company also has five Shop Smart stores, five Price Less Food locations, and 12 Pharmacy Express locations.
