    Coborn’s, GSN Team on Mobile Shopping Program

    Applications bring total shopper planning solution to smartphone users

    Coborn’s Inc. and Grocery Shopping Network (GSN) are launching mobile applications for the grocer’s Coborn’s and Cashwise Foods stores. Compatible with iPhone and Android smartphones, the new shopping program enables customers to view from their mobile phones circular and in-store specials, recipes, and mobile offers based on the week’s deals.

    “With so many cell phone users now using iPhone and Android smartphones, these mobile apps reinforce our commitment to creating a quick and easy online grocery shopping experience,” noted Chris Coborn, president and CEO of St. Cloud, Minn.-based Coburn’s, which owns and operates 38 Coborn’s and Cash Wise locations in the upper Midwest. “They help give customers time back into their day so they can focus on what matters most to them.”

    The apps provide shoppers with access to all of the tools offered online through their mobile phones, including a completely integrated mobile circular with built-in search capabilities; department and brand filtering; the ability to add items manually as well as from the circular or recipe portal; sharing capabilities; access to the searchable recipe portal, complete with all recipe details and the recipe of the day; a store map and location finder; and the ability to save a favorite store, as well as contact info, profile syncing, and easy shopping list management. Customers can additionally create lists online, immediately access saved lists on their smartphones, and make lists on their phones and then see them online via GSN’s profile synchronization.
