    C&S Extends Subscription of Successful Deal Management Solution

    The wholesaler collaborates with trading partners on the DemandTec network

    Based on the success of the program, C&S Wholesale Grocers, a wholesaler which serves approximately 3,900 grocery stores across the United States, has renewed its subscription for San Mateo, Calif.-based DemandTec's Deal Management software service.

    A customer since 2008, C&S Wholesale Grocers uses the service to support collaborative business planning by connecting a network of manufacturer and retail trading partners. Leveraging DemandTec's Deal Management solution, C&S automates and streamlines the full trade deal lifecycle on the system, from presentation and negotiation, to reconciliation of trade funds. Among the solution’s core capabilities is a seven year electronic deal archive, which DemandTec developed to provide a single source of truth and an electronic trail for regulatory compliance.

    Deal Management is a component service of DemandTec End-to-End Promotion Management, a comprehensive software solution developed to manage the entire promotion process, from collaborative promotion planning and deal management to in-store execution and post event analysis.

    Keene, N.H.-based C&S Wholesale Grocers distributes food to supermarkets, retail stores and military bases across the country. It serves about 3,900 stores from more than 50 locations in 11 states, and among its customers are Stop & Shop, Giant of Carlisle, Giant of Landover, Shaw's, Great Atlantic & Pacific Tea Co. (A&P), Ralphs, Safeway and Target.

    DemandTec’s network connects more than 400 retailers and consumer products companies, providing common solutions to transact, interact, and collaborate on core merchandising and marketing activities.
