    D’Agostino CEO Joins Allegiance Board

    NYC grocer joined co-op earlier this year

    Nick D’Agostino III, president and CEO of Larchmont, N.Y.-based D’Agostino Supermarkets, has been appointed to the board of directors of Allegiance Retail Services LLC. D’Agostino Supermarkets became a member of the independent retailer cooperative this past August.

    According to David Maniaci, Allegiance chairman and CEO: “Nick D’Agostino is one of the top supermarket entrepreneurs in the business. He will be a valuable addition to the Allegiance board of directors.”

    An outgrowth of the 68-store Foodtown retail co-op in the Northeast, Iselin, N.J.-based Allegiance, which began operations in late July, provides its members with marketing, advertising, technological and operational support, as well as a full line of Foodtown private label  products. D’Agostino operates 15 stores, most of them in Manhattan.
