LARCHMONT, NY -- D'Agostino here saw fit yesterday to remind consumers-and apparently at least one competitor as well-that it's Web site offers online orders delivered within three hours throughout Westchester County, N.Y., as well as all of Manhattan. The public confirmation of this policy came less than a week after competitor A&P said in a press release that it was the only grocer to offer same-day delivery service for online orders in Westchester.
D'Agostino said it has been delivering online orders within three hours of placement over the past year. "With all online orders filled from the closest market to the customer, its easy for delivery to be fulfilled within three hours," said Steve D'Agostino, stores operations director for the chain. "In the month since we've relaunched our Web site, Web orders in Westchester have doubled."
