Streamlined navigation; a fresher, more contemporary look; flash animation; and a new sustainability section are among the key highlights of Del Monte Fresh Produce Co.’s newly redesigned corporate Web site.
“In today’s digital world, Internet users are increasingly interacting with their favorite brands online,” said Dionysios Christou, VP of marketing for the Coral Gables, Fla.-based company. “Our goal in the redesign of our site was to make [our Web site] a more dynamic, user-friendly and interactive destination, where customers and consumers could easily learn more about our company.”
The new sustainability section that highlights the company’s many achievements in areas such as community involvement, biodiversity, and resource and waste management worldwide is of special significance, added Christou, noting that visitors can see many examples of the programs established by Del Monte throughout its operations “that protect and sustain the environment and promote the wellbeing of our employees and the communities where we operate.”
