Ahold Banners Roll Out Free-from Products

Ahold USA banners Stop & Shop, Giant Food of Landover and Giant/Martin's are launching Nature’s Promise free-from products in stores.

Introduced in 2004, the private label line offers affordable options, many of them USDA certified-organic. All food products labeled "free-from" contain no artificial ingredients, including artificial colors, flavors and preservatives, while the household products feature no harsh chemicals, among them added artificial dyes and fragrances.

“Customers continue to ask us for more organic and free-from choices in our stores, and Nature’s Promise is a brand they can trust to provide affordable organic and free-from products,” said Juan De Paoli, SVP, Own Brands at Carlisle, Pa.-based Ahold USA. “With this refresh, we continue to innovate within our Nature’s Promise brand, bringing new solutions and more transparency to help our customers eat well and save money.”

The line offers more than 800 fresh, grocery, health and beauty, and household products, including all-purpose household cleaners, hand soaps, vitamins, baby food, spices, artisan breads, marinades and turkey bacon.
