ShopRite Hosting Grand Tasting Event at NYC Festival

ShopRite will once again host The Grand Tasting Presented by ShopRite at the Food Network New York City Wine & Food Festival. This will be the grocer’s eighth year as a presenting sponsor.

Taking place Oct. 17-18, The Grand Tasting, spread over 130,000 square feet, will feature chef-prepared original recipes using ingredients and special-edition products carried exclusively at ShopRite stores. This year's event will highlight ShopRite Kitchen entrées, both on their own and as the focal point of unique dishes, at the grocer’s booth.

Along with ShopRite's offerings, attendees can meet culinary celebrities and sample food from local New York City restaurants, representing cuisine from around the globe, all paired with fine wine and spirits.

While celebrating food and drink, the festival will once more help the needy, with proceeds from the event going to hunger relief initiatives through the Food Bank for New York City and Share Our Strength’s No Kid Hungry Campaign. So far, the festival has raised more than $8.5 million to help fight hunger.

ShopRite customers who present a Price Plus Club Card at checkout will receive a 10 percent discount on tickets to the event purchased online.

Running Oct. 15-18, the New York City Wine & Food Festival is hosted by The Food Network and Food &Wine, Travel and Leisure magazines.
