Giant-Landover Slashes Prices

Giant Food LLC has rolled out a low-price initiative affecting thousands of items across the store. New "Bonus Buy Savings" signs highlight time-limited promotions, while "Low Everyday Price" signage calls out long-term reductions on many popular everyday products.

According to Landover, Md.-based Giant Food, a division of Ahold USA, the initiative is in response to customer demand. The grocery chain is also seeking to enhance the shopping experience with improved fresh, upscale, local and ethnic product lines, in addition to new items.

"We value our customers and recognize that they have numerous options to choose from when shopping for groceries,” said Giant Food President Gordon Reid. “That is why at Giant we are committed to providing our customers great quality and great prices so they see their savings stack up."

Customers can check out the deals online, in Giant Food's weekly circular and in-store.

Giant Food operates 169 supermarkets in Virginia, Maryland, Delaware and the District of Columbia, employing about 20,000 associates.
