Costco to Offer Jamba Juice Gift Card Pack

9/23/2009
Jamba Juice is seeking to get Costco customers juiced up for the holiday season. The two companies have rolled out an exclusive holiday promotion in which Costco will sell Jamba gift cards at store locations.

The Jamba Juice gift pack, which will retail for $39.99, contains two $25 gift cards that are redeemable for all products at Jamba Juice locations. The packs will be sold during the 2009 holiday season in 120 Costco stores on the West Coast.

According to Jamba Juice VP of consumer products and licensing Susan Shields, “This gift card promotion will increase the awareness of the Jamba brand in the retail environment and will be synergistic with some of our new retail products launching in the fourth quarter of this year, including frozen novelties and a kid’s-style blender.”

The partnership with Issaquah, Wash.-based Costco is part of a recent effort by Jamba Juice to increase its brand awareness. Last week, Brandweek reported on the company’s $30 million “Feel Good Moments” campaign, which combines a direct-mail initiative to prompt in-store and online product redemption. Jamba Juice also recently signed license agreements with Nestlé, Think Wow Toys, Oregon Ice Cream and The Inventure Group for the retail sale of Jamba-branded products.

“The introduction of our food platform in Jamba stores and the signing of licensing agreements to introduce new Jamba products into grocery retail, support Jamba Juice’s mission of inspiring and simplifying healthy living and will play a key role in helping us to achieve our strategic objectives,” said James D. White, president and CEO of Emeryville, Calif.-based Jamba Juice
