Kellogg, Xbox Team for Promotion

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. -Kellogg Co. here is joining up with Microsoft's Xbox 360 for the holidays to bring the ultimate gaming experience "inside the box" of some of its most popular foods, by offering game enthusiasts the opportunity to score Xbox minigames, game rentals, and merchandise.

In what it said is its highest-value promotion ever, starting this month, Kellogg will insert one of five Xbox minigames in specially marked boxes of many of its cereals, including Kellogg's Frosted Flakes, Apple Jacks, Corn Pops, and Cocoa Rice Krispies. Fans can collect all five mini hand-held color background video games, created exclusively for Kellogg. Select cereal boxes will also offer free game rentals, through gamefly.com, including a 30-day free trial redeemable with two UPCs.

Additionally, mail-in offers for Xbox knit hats, T-shirts, back sacks, and instant-win rewards will be available on packages of Kellogg's Pop-Tarts toaster pastries, Eggo waffles, and Kellogg-branded fruit flavored snacks.

The Kellogg/Xbox partnership will be supported by advertising and in-store merchandising.
