The United Family to Provide Tax Day Relief

The United Family is helping to take the stress out of tax day by offering free comfort food on Wednesday, April 15 at 65 United Supermarkets, Market Street, Albertsons Market and Amigos locations in West Texas, Dalls-Fort Worth and New Mexico.

Free beans and cornbread will be available from 4 to 8 p.m. for dine-in only in the deli section of participating stores.

“Everyone is in need of a little relief around Tax Day, and we are happy to give back to our guests during the dreaded tax season,” said Robert Taylor, president of The United Family. “The comfort food offer also enables our stores to connect with their individual communities and help family and friends put Tax Day behind them.”

The promotion debuted at Dallas-Fort Worth-area Market Street locations in 2013; it has been extended chainwide since 2014.

The United Family, headquartered in Lubbock, Texas, operates 67 stores under the United Supermarkets, Market Street, Amigos, Albertsons Market and United Express banners, along with ancillary operations R.C. Taylor Distributing, Praters and Llano Logistics.
