Bristol Farms to Open Valencia, CA Store in October

Supervalu-owned regional gourmet chain Bristol Farms said yesterday it plans to open a new 35,000 square-foot store in Valencia, Calif. this October.

The retailer this week began construction on the store, once again hiring Palladeo Construct, Glendale, Calif. as the general contractor. This is Palladeo's fifth project with Bristol Farms and the first ground-up construction for the two partners. Previous projects with Bristol Farms included a major remodel of the company's South Pasadena store, a second-use remodel in La Jolla, an open-store remodel in Manhattan Beach, and a second-use remodel in Palm Desert.

Plans for Bristol Farms in Valencia include individual "shops" with full facades and themed props, including a fresh juice and smoothie counter, a fresh sushi department with sushi prepared daily onsite, a coffee bar, and an eat-in café. The wine area, with its four walls, wine racks and roof trellis, will be designed to resemble a specialty wine boutique.

Palladeo Create, the company's fixture and décor fabrication and installation division, is fabricating and installing the interior décor. DLEnglish Design Studio, Long Beach, Calif., designed the store's interior.

Bristol Farms operates 15 stores throughout Southern California, each of which is uniquely designed and extremely service-oriented.
