Farm Boy Plans New Marketing Campaign to Support Expansion

OTTAWA, Ont. -- In keeping with its plans to expand, Farm Boy, based here, said yesterday it would develop a new campaign encompassing corporate identity, store signage, and the Farm Boy private label brand, as well as advertising and promotion.

The retailer said it chose McMillan, the city's largest full-service integrated marketing communications firm, to work with its Farm Boy marketing department on the project.

"We wanted a firm with whom we could develop a long-term partnership," noted Farm Boy director of marketing Nick Farinaccio, Farm Boy's Director of Marketing. "We were impressed with McMillan's strategic approach and their proven ability to deliver solid creative work."

Farm Boy currently operates seven stores in the greater Ottawa and Cornwall regions, with two additional Ottawa stores are scheduled to open in 2006.
