Giant Promotes Two Execs

CARLISLE, Pa. -- Giant Food Stores, LLC, based here, said yesterday that it has promoted Nancy E. Jones to v.p. of asset protection, and Todd Patti to director of sales development.

In her new role, Jones leads Giant's asset protection department to help improve shrink rates while protecting company assets. She previously served as senior asset protection director. Since coming to Giant in 1992 as regional loss prevention manager, Jones has guided the shrink strategy that led to improved shrink results throughout the organization. Among her other responsibilities are overseeing HIPPA security for Giant and Tops Supermarkets and Ahold Financial Services. Before joining, Ahold, Jones handled loss prevention for ShopRite and Iandoli Supermarkets.

As director of sales development, Patti will create promotional programs to generate successful sales and increase market share. He will also ensure that Giant's weekly circular and promotional programs contain the proper themes, assortments, promotions, and prices. Patti's previous position at Giant was category manager of frozen foods. Earlier he served as corporate brands sales manager, category manager of health and beauty care and category manager of nonfoods. He joined Giant in 2001.

Giant Food Stores, LLC is one of six retail-operating companies under Ahold USA. Giant currently operates 103 stores as Giant Food Stores, 123 stores as Tops Markets and 26 stores as Martin's Food Markets. With nearly 40,000 associates Giant serves a six state market area.
