Wal-Mart to Build Distribution Center in Washington State

YAKIMA COUNTY, Wash. - Wal-Mart plans to spend $40 million to build a more than 800,000-square-foot food-distribution center in Grandview, Wash., the Yakima Herald-Republic reports.

The facility, which is expected to cover more than 18 acres of food and workers under one roof, should begin operations in autumn of next year.

The distribution center marks one of the biggest single economic boosts in Yakima County history, according to the newspaper.
