Naturipe Taps Social Influencers for Promo

Naturipe Farms has launched an "#EatTheRainbow" recipe challenge that will tap influencer outreach by challenging five food bloggers to create a full daypart menu themed by the color of the rainbow. Food bloggers from across the country will encourage healthy eating to their audiences by developing a "rainbow" of unique recipes featuring peak-of-season blueberries and strawberries paired with creative ingredients.

At the end of the five-week promotion, which runs through Aug. 16, the bloggers' custom recipes will go head to head for a chance to win Sur La Table gift cards. Consumers will determine the winner by voting for their favorite #EatTheRainbow recipe via Naturipe's Facebook page.

Each week, Naturipe and the participating bloggers, including This Gal Cooks, Spoonful of Flavor, Recipe Runner, Healthy Nibbles & Bits and Beyond Frosting, will feature a rolling schedule of colorful berry recipes geared to different dayparts on their respective blogs and social media platforms.

The participating bloggers will also co-host a #EatTheRainbow Twitter party with Naturipe on Aug. 17 at 9 p.m. EST and 6 p.m. PST

"This promotion has been fun to work on because our bloggers love the challenge and consumers love having new, out-of-the-box recipes to try," said Kyla Oberman, director of marketing for Naples, Fla.-based Naturipe. "While domestic berries have been in the market for a few months, they are at their peak during the summer. By encouraging different usage ideas and new recipes such as this, consumers are inclined to keep fresh berries on their grocery lists."

Naturipe is providing updates about the promotion on its blog, Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest pages. Meanwhile, the challenge recipes will be featured each week, along with tips on how to get creative and unique with fresh berries.
